Skosmos is a web-based tool providing services for accessing controlled vocabularies, which are used by indexers describing documents and searchers looking for suitable keywords. Vocabularies are accessed via SPARQL endpoints containing SKOS vocabularies. Skosmos is built mostly with PHP and JavaScript. I've been involved in it's development right from the beginning when the research prototype was built at Aalto University in 2012. And when the project moved to the National library of Finland I followed it there and continued developing it further into what it is today.

Skosmos has been developed for the Finnish thesaurus and ontology service Finto.fi. You can find out more about Skosmos and its users at skosmos.org.

Publishing SKOS vocabularies with Skosmos (article manuscript)

A sunday afternoon project where I tried to make an extremely simple parallax scroll effect. It isn't a real parallax effect but something that gets pretty close. I noticed that the effect doesn't seem to work on mobile. I'll need to find a better solution.

See the results here.
